Our Journey
Malabar Mandi Majlis was founded by a Kerala-origin team who
wanted to introduce authentic Malabar-style Mandi and Alfahm to
Regina, where this niche did not previously exist. Our concept is
to connect Kerala and Mandi — combining the slow-cooked
rice-and-meat techniques popular across Arabia with the spice
profiles and hospitality traditions of Kerala's Malabar region.
Located at 1775 Toronto Street in central Regina, we are proud to
bring this unique fusion to Saskatchewan.

Our Menu
Our menu focuses on slow-cooked Mandi rice with chicken, lamb, or
beef shanks, flame-grilled Alfahm chicken combos, Shawaya-style
chicken with rich gravy, Malabar fried rice, and large feast
boxes meant to be shared. Signature dishes include the Lamb Shank
Mandi, Alfahm Chicken Mandi, and Beef Shank Mandi — all fully
Halal and prepared to highlight both Arabian and South Indian
flavour profiles.

Our Experience
The word "Majlis" means a place of gathering, and our restaurant
is designed as a warm, welcoming space for families, friends, and
community celebrations. Whether you visit for an Eid dinner, a
birthday feast, or a casual meal, we emphasise authenticity, Halal
preparation, and a family-style dining experience. Open daily from
noon until 1 AM, we also serve Regina's late-night dining
community.
